Thirty one years ago tomorrow, April 6th, we were sealed as an 'eternal family' in the Los Angeles Temple. It is hard to believe that so many years have passed since we made that first trip to the temple and received the wonderful blessings that are offered there. We left for the temple on a Friday afternoon and drove from our home in Irvine to Los Angeles. I remember taking Britton and Patrick to the Nursery in the temple where they were entertained by the sweet temple workers while Ed and I went through our 'first' session.
It was a tender moment when our two small sons were brought to the beautiful Sealing Room, all dressed in white (except for Patricks's bright blue BINKY). Britt was old enough to kneel at the alter and Patrick sat on top of it. We joined hands as were sealed as a family for time and all eternity if we live righteously. It was moment in time that I will ALWAYS remember! Being a member of Christ's church offers so many blessings but for me this is right at the top.
All these years, Ed and I have tried to live worthy of this great blessing. It wouldn't be heaven without our children, grandchildren, and sweet daughter-in-law.
We are so thankful to our children and grandchildren. We appreciate all they do for us and how they bless and enrich our lives. We know they are trying hard to live live good lives - it is our fervent hope and pray that we will be a family FOREVER!
